The Meeteetse Recreation District is proud to be organizing the 1st Annual Wagon Box Social Mountain Challenge and 2nd Annual Meeteetse Absaroka Challenge.

Join us for the 1st Annual Wagon Box Social Mountain Challenge, our leisure type race ran on semi maintained road and progressing on to a nice two track for the longer races. We will be running on the historic Kirwin road nestled under 12,000 foot peaks. The Upper Wood River Valley will catch your eye at every turn so don't forget to bring your cameras.

2nd Annual Meeteetse Absaroka Challenge, a mountain running race which will be held on Labor Day Weekend, Saturday, August 30th starting at 11:00am. This race will have opportunities for all running abilities. It will consist of a 5K, 10K and the Absaroka Challenge a 15k run with a dramatic 1,000-ft. descent to the finish. This mountain run will be held in the Timber Creek area above Meeteetse.

To make this race a special event in the Park County area we need sponsors. We hope that you will be as excited as we are to be part of something special.

* $25.00 - $50.00 donation, your business will be placed on our race web site www.meeteetsewy.com/rec/race.html;
** $50.00 - $100.00 donation, web page listing and your business ad on the back of the race tee-shirt;
*** $100.00 or more, web page listing,  your ad on the race tee-shirt and your business placed on a large banner which will be displayed at the race and in town during the Labor Day Weekend.
