Elk Island on Jackson Lake in Beautiful
Jackson Hole, Wyoming

A friendly Deer visiting our campsite.  There ARE Elk on the island too! This past summer we even had a small bear join us on the island!!

View of the Tetons from our isolated campsite on the island!
Each summer the Hansen family spent 4 days at this boat-in only site in the middle of Jackson Hole.  We also made an annual to trek to Jackson to eat breakfast at Jedediah's House of Sourdough. Most of the time the weather is great, but, there have been some typical storms, bugs, etc. that you always find when camping outdoors. Due to the bear on the island in 2002 we did not return in 2003.
