You will want to go directly to the NAME INDEX. Check the NOTES for each person for additional information.
The Penrose Cemetery is 6.9 miles out of Byron. To reach the Cemetery
go south on Center Street, down over the river bridge 2.3 miles down the
cut off road to the Emblem highway (Hwy 32). Turn right (west) and go 4.6
more miles, you will turn to the left just after highway marker 110. The
Penrose Cemetery is surrounded on two sides by a lateral ditch. It is enclosed
by a fence, with pine trees around the fence line, these were planted by
Burchell Hopkin and his Father. Hopefully the neighboring cattle won't
be visiting the cemetery the same time you are.
In the notes you may find: obituaries; grave location; who is on the same stone or in the same cement or buried right next to them; additional stone information; war records; additional information as found in Roy Forbes Big Horn County Cemetery Records; and other records. Some graves were found in Roy Forbes records and not in the cemetery.
